Gateshead Parliamentary Constituency
The voters of Gateshead have re-elected Ian to serve as their Member of Parliament in the next session.
He received 21,549 votes, 56.8 perecent of the poll. Turnout was 59.4 percent.
Speaking after the national result became clear, Ian said,
“We have been watching what we have built up over past decades be dismantled by a poor and heartless government who don’t even know where Gateshead is.
“I will try my damnedest to protect this place in parliament, but I have a feeling it will be a very tough job.”
